I really wanted to like this series but something about it has always felt off. How is it exactly that the wolves have solar power yet being a hunter somehow makes the dad a big deal. It seems like the author cant pick a time period so she just said "meh I will use them all at one time!". They have solar power, TV, books about space travel(and space romance!) gas powered something or others but they also need to light fires at night all around the village to keep the alpha of the forest away? Not to mention they still use gold as payment for things......

Anyway I should probably talk about his book instead of the series as a whole. I really liked the couple in this book, because for the first time the whole "the pack distrusts the human" thing made sense instead of being tacked on drama, the characters actually worked off of each other instead of being super top and bottom boy from the first two book. However the author decided everybody in the book except William was going to lose their ever loving minds. In a situation where all the options suck, William took the only option that would keep everybody alive but for some(never explained reason or its possible I skimmed over it once I realized how s*** the ending was going to be) the wolves decided to take hours to catch up with the big bad despite the fact that Tybalt should have returned within minutes, saved the day and everything would have been fine. Instead they take hours and somebody ends up getting injured(somebody who would have been killed on the spot had William not stepped in and given a reason why he should be kept alive) so they blame everything on William as if the human with no weapons was supposed to somehow take on the big bad by themselves. It's pure "I want to write another 5 dollar book about this couple so I'm going to exile them from the plot so I can write about them when the series starts to loose steam" which I really, really despise.
